Don't worry, blood pressure is good now, but need to keep an eye on it. I went to my weekly appointment to have them tell me that my blood pressure was 151/98. Ummm, that's too high. The nurse took it again after the appointment and had me lie down and then took it again. Too high again, so the doctor told me I bought a ticket to triage to be monitored.

Off to Triage Dan and I went. On arrival it was sky high 155/101 - yikes! After getting settled and having my blood pressure monitored every 15 minutes for a couple of hours it went down to normal 110/68. Even after the first couple of ones it was coming down. I had some blood work to rule out PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension) and came back negative. Yay, I could go home! I'm gonna take my blood pressure 2 x day and if I don't feel right. Also, I have to do a 24 hour urine. 24 urine is to monitor for protein in the urine and if I have protein in urine that's a strong indicator of PIH and make my b/p go up.

Good news is that I'm a good 4cm dilated, -3 station, and 75% effaced!

Another great visit. GBS test came back negative - wahoo! Blood pressure, urine, and weight are all normal. The doctor says that he is measuring on the larger size. She wrote for me to have an ultrasound, but it's up to me if I want it done. No guarantee the ultrasound will show his weight correctly. Also, I'm 3 - 4 cm dilated and 60% effaced! That's soooooo exciting!! At this rate, I just need some strong contractions, so I can go into labor. :) :)

Today I had another doctor's appointment. I will be going every week now until I deliver. Another good visit with my blood pressure, weight, urine, and growth all looking good. I was cultured for Group B Strep, which is normal for how many weeks I am and will get the results next Friday at my next appointment. The doctor also checked my cervix and to my surprise I am 1 - 2 cm dilated. He is head down, but has not dropped. I'd like him to bake for another week or two, but the doctor said if I went into labor they would not stop it.

After many nights of hard work, the Winnie the Pooh Mural is all done!! Pat put the finishing touches on it tonight and I must say "It's absolutely perfect!!" Pat you did a wonderful job and it's just as I imagined it to look. Dan and I can't thank you enough for this very generous gift. You have a great talent and I can't wait until tomorrow to take pictures and show everyone.

I had my 33 week check-up and everything looks great. I told her about my episodes of morning sickness again and that my feet are swollen. All of which is normal. I know there is nothing she can do, but just mentioned it. Blood pressure is good, urine is negative, weight it good, and he's growing. I'm happy that both of us are healthy. Baby Daniel's heart rate is is the 140's.

Next appointment is in 2 weeks - May 16th.

Wawhoo! I'm happy to hit another milestone and now I can say I'm eight months pregnant! It's crazy to think that in 5 weeks time Baby Daniel will be considered full-term and can be delivered then. It's going by faster and faster each week. Here's a link to Baby Center that includes a description of his development with a picture of what he might look like inside the womb.

My belly looks even rounder now and resembles a basketball. I'll have Dan take another picture tonight and post it for everyone.
